Is Facebok better, safer, and more private than Myspace?

I've heard that in facebook you give out your real name, and in Mspace usually people create a false name. So pretty much anyone can look you up on facebook and track you down???


nowadays i suppose it's a very efficient way of communicating, besides e-mail and phone. is it worth getting?

Well you can obviously make a fake name if you want to. But you can hide your profile so it doesn't really matter if you can track people down, you don't have to accept their friend requests so it's all very safe and you don't need to worry.


Facebook applications (games) are quite good to be honest, but other than that it's just the same as MySpace :)

Reply:Facebook was originally created for college students to connect with other kids on campus. as the fad grew, it accommodated more people and now is for anyone in high school too. However if you want to look up a friend, how are you going to know by a false name? even on myspace you give your real name so friends can find you. first, facebook is cleaner. second, it's more simple--it's made for connecting not decorating :). also, when you look someone up you actually can't see their page until you make them a friend. then they can accept or deny. watch out for poking though, and sending messages, because when you do you usually can see the person you poked's limited profile, which many fail to restrict to include only things which they'd be happy people seeing.





it is very worth getting if your friends have it, and it's very efficient, and sometimes more fun than just sending a mass e-mail. most of my friends don't check their e-mail but routinely check their facebook!

Reply:Well.... facebook is like you meet new friends and all, thts y u enter all this personal info. But myspace is like cmnting and chilling with ur friends..... i have both and i rlly cant say which one is better... i just got facebook tho. and i had myspace since last year...
